There are few moments in our lives as powerful as the birth of our children — I have birthed 5 of them, and each and every one was one of the most powerful moments of my life.   Hi, I’m Anya.  Former midwife, current birth doula, birth photographer, and baby lover/photographer.  I attend births in the Madison, Wisconsin and surrounding areas including Milwaukee, Janesville, Sauk City, Reedsburg, and Mauston. I began my career in birth as early as 1992 when asked film video for a client of the local birthing center I worked for as an administrative assistant.  From that moment on, I knew birth was my path.  Since 1995 I have attended over 1,000 births in a variety of capacities — I have attended unassisted home births, crash cesarean sections, and anything and everything in between.  The one thing I love about birth is every birth is different, unique, and beautiful, and I would be honored to attend yours.
