About
Greetings from Richmond, VA! I am Cheyenne Ward, a passionate and intuitive documentary-style photographer dedicated to capturing the authentic essence of life's most profound moments. I strive to go beyond the ordinary, weaving emotional narratives into each frame. My distinctive style is characterized by an emphasis on genuine connection, artistic expression, and the profound beauty found in spontaneous interactions. Rejecting forced poses, I implore cues that evoke natural and heartfelt moments, ensuring that the stories I capture are as unique and diverse as the individuals themselves. Described as intuitive, grounded, and creative, I bring a kind, nurturing, and upbeat energy to every shoot, creating a comfortable space where clients can be themselves. Photography has been a big part of my life since the birth of my son in 2015. I was so enamored with recording every detail but had no idea that this passion (::clears throat:: obsession?! ) would lead me to where I am now. With most passions, I find myself consumed by it, savoring every detail of the craft, both creative and technical. Photography pushes the boundaries on what it means to create THROUGH connecting. I am passionate about equity and accessibility, community support, learning, and facilitating healing in various means. I have one living child, two spirit babies, and am the caregiver of my youngest brother. After working as a nurse for about 9 years, I switched careers in 2021, to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Intuitive Energy Worker/Teacher. I am certified in Somatic Trauma Therapy and am a Trained Doula. I also am certified as a Reiki Level III Practitioner/Teacher and Myofascial Release therapist. These offerings can be accessed through my sibling-business, Full Spectrum Healing and Wellness, where you'll find massage/bodywork, energy work, tarot and astrology readings in the heart of Richmond, VA. I am a Sagittarius Sun, Scorpio Moon, and Aquarius Rising. Full lover of used book stores, slow mornings, and being in nature. I am deeply spiritual, and consider myself a varied mystic. My beliefs are range from Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Paganism, reclaimed Christianity, and Native American rituals and practices. There is usually a book nearby and warm beverage that didn't get finished within arm's reach.Awards
